Myofascial Release

IMG_8673-Photoroom.png

Myofascial tissue is a network of tissue that spreads through the whole body.  It connects muscles, joints and bones and provides support to the organs by helping keep them in place

Tight fascial tissue can restrict movement in muscles and joints which can cause a loss of power and performance resulting in a loss of movement.  This can lead to pain and discomfort

Myofascial release focuses on reducing pain by easing the tension and tightness  through gentle sustained pressure.  When used in conjunction with sports massage, myofascial release can improve the range of movement and improve performance.

Myofascial release is carried out using my hands and the FascialEdge tool.  This is a stainless steel tool designed to follow the curves and contours of the horses body and allows targeting of deeper muscles
